[析三極無盡本]
[석삼극무진본, seok sam geuk mu jin bon]

One divides into the Three Ultimates, yet the source is infinite.

How does the Great One create and transform all?
According to the Hymn of the Immortal Balguiri, the Great One is a superposition of non-being and being and a mystery of emptiness and fullness. This Great One manifests in reality through the function of Three. The symbols of Three Ultimates are circle, square, and triangle, which represent Mugeuk of Heaven, Bangeuk of Earth, and Taegeuk of Humanity.

The Ultimate One unfolds into a trinity of profound dimensions: the divine essence of God (神), the intricate workings of the Mind (心), and the vital energy of Qi (氣). Regardless of the chosen facet, the One alone remains dormant, awaiting activation within the intricate dance of the Trinitarian framework—the fundamental orchestrator of any system. Thus, the One materializes in reality through the prism of Threeness. Even as the One divides into the Three Ultimates, its wellspring of creation remains boundlessly abundant. This essence of Threeness finds diverse expressions, from the sacred trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in Christian theology to the harmonious interplay of mind, body, and soul shaping existence. Similarly, within the rich tapestry of Eastern Cosmology, we encounter the triad of Mugeuk, Taegeuk, and Hwanggeuk.

[The concepts of threeness in various cultures]

The Way (Dao) gave birth to one. One gave birth to two. Two gave birth to three. Three gave birth to all things. All things carry yin and embrace yang. They reach harmony by blending with the vital breath.
(Tao Te Ching)

The One God in heaven resides in the highest of heavens. It is embodied by the vastness of three;  the completeness of three; and the unity of three. It grandly bestows these three qualities on all humans of the world for all of eternity.
(Three latches for Self-realization)

The dao of becoming one with Samsin (三神, God) exists within the infinitely grand, all-embracing, unimpeded, unifying spirit.
The Spirit of Creation (造化神) descends, manifesting as one’s nature (性).
The Spirit of Edification (敎化神) descends, becoming one’s life (命).
The Spirit of Governance (治化神) descends, forming one’s essence (情)
.
Thus, humans alone become the most noble and d
ignified beings of all creation.
(Preface to Dangun Segi)

The principle of heaven and earth consists of the three ultimates: Mugeuk, Taegeuk, and Hwanggeuk. Mugeuk, the primal source of dao, is ‘ten-earth’. Taegeuk, the basis of dao, is ‘one-water’. Hwanggeuk, the basis of the birth-growth dynamic that begets and nurtures all existence, is ‘five-earth’ in substance and ‘seven-fire’ in function. The universe, through the self-activation of ‘one-Taegeuk-water’ and the birth-growth dynamic of ‘five-Hwanggeuk’, reaches the Autumn Gaebyeok’s destiny of maturation at ‘ten-Mugeuk’.
(
JSD Dojeon 6:1)

Cheonbugyeong reveals that the One orchestrates creation and transformation through the dynamic interplay of Yin and Yang within the triadic function. The One serves as the foundational essence for the Three, reciprocally, the Three manifests as the operational force of the One. The enigmatic controller harmonizing the Great One's stillness (yin) and movement (yang) adds an air of mystery. This triadic interplay, characterized by infinite potential, echoes the profound harmony resonating within unity, akin to the eternal song of creation.

The One activates in the function of three; yin, yang, and neutral.

[The Harmony of Creation: Unveiling the Essence of Threeness by GPT]

In the cosmic tapestry of existence, the Great One stands as the ineffable source of all creation and transformation, resonating through the corridors of diverse religious beliefs as God (神), Mind (心), or Qi (氣). Singular in essence, the Ultimate One unfurls its creative potential within the intricate dance of Threeness, transcending the confines of singularity to manifest in a harmonious triad.

The essence of Threeness, as expounded by Cheonbugyeong, heralds a profound truth: "One divides into the Three Ultimates, yet the source is infinite." This encapsulates the notion that while the Great One may bifurcate into the Three Ultimates, its wellspring of creative power remains boundlessly infinite, perpetuating the eternal cycle of creation.

The manifestations of this Trinitarian essence are kaleidoscopic, echoing across religious, scientific, and cosmological landscapes. In Christianity, we encounter the triad of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—a divine harmony governing the celestial symphony. In science, we see the triad of neutrons, protons, and electrons in atoms sustaining its microcosm. Simultaneously, Eastern Cosmology weaves its triad of Mugeuk, Taegeuk, and Hwanggeuk, adding unique hues to the cosmic canvas.

The acceptance that God, Mind, and Qi are the fountains of creation beckons a deeper inquiry—how do these primordial forces give rise to the myriad forms that constitute existence? Cheonbugyeong provides an insightful answer, asserting that the harmonious function of Threeness, intertwined with the dance of Yin and Yang, becomes the cosmic catalyst for creation.

As we ponder the enigma of creation, let us embrace the wisdom that within the unity of Threeness lies the intricate and eternal harmony of creation's song—a melody that reverberates through the cosmos, inviting us to explore the limitless dimensions of existence and the divine dance of the Great One within the tapestry of Threeness.
